Battery Draw. Any Ideas?
I have a 99 S10 zr2 that has a draw of 700 milliamps. If I drive the truck every day it is fine but if it sits for any more than two days it is dead. Has anyone dealt with this before and if so how did you fix it?? Thanks

Re: Battery Draw. Any Ideas?
This sounds like a pain, but the way to find battery drain is tu disconect the - side of the battery and then pull a fuse.
Just touch the battery cable back and watch for a spark. If you see 1 put the fuse back in and try again with the second fuse. When you finally find the problem circut you'll have to disconect everything from it one part at a time and do the same thing to find the problem. This is easiest in the dark, with a flashlight to see the fuse box |

Shorted diode in alternator can cause this, too.

That is your first good step. It is now a mater of disconnecting everything untill you find the draw. As said alternators and pull all fuses. Good things to check are. Dome lights switches' glove box lights' cig ligthers 'relays and any add on stuff like radios theft alarms. Get us know how it goes. Good Luck MT
