Yet another 24 Hour build

Much like ACME the GPMG does a 24 Hours of Lemans build. This is our third consecutive year. My build is a Tamiya 962C with Studio 27 decals, Perry's Resin BBS wheels and corrected doors added. The box was opened at race start, 8 beers, 6 Red Bulls and 24 hours later results in this...

Re: Yet another 24 Hour build

Great finish! Dunno 'bout you guys, but it's a good thing our models were done before hour 21. Maybe we need more Red Bulls

This was ACME's first year; we talked about it long enough and decided to go for it after our initial plans for a Daytona 24 hour build fell through due to a schedule conflict. We're even entertaining a 12-hours of Sebring build event.

Re: Yet another 24 Hour build

Thanks for the compliments. Things certainly get a little silly around hour 12 but by hour 20 we're awful quiet because we're 1/2 asleep. We do a 12 hour build every spring, the level of stress is much higher for the that. Thanks again.

Looks awesome. Nice to see another 24 hour build, even though it sure doesnt look like one.

Re: Yet another 24 Hour build

Nice!

I wish I could build like that after 8 beers and 6 Red Bulls. Was that alternating, done chaser style, or mixed?

Beautiful. The livery is a stunner.
With these 24 hour builds turning out so well maybe we should consider building all our models like that?

Great 24 hour build!

These builds are a fantastic way to spend the day, watching the race, building, drinking, and hanging out with friends.

Re: Yet another 24 Hour build

I have to agree. These are great fun, hanging out building with friends. I'm guaranteed to finish 2 models per year, our club 12 hour build and our Lemans 24 hour build! Sadly that is usually all that I complete.

Re: Yet another 24 Hour build

Great build guys! Maybe next year it should be a Can-Am build!!!
Above the border builds International drivers/cars and South of the border builds North American drivers/cars.

Re: Yet another 24 Hour build

Once again thanks for the compliments. Sadly the build quality between my 24 hour rush job and a regular build is very minor. At least I finished something is how I look at it. One less kit in the pile!
