How can We help improve this board?

For the most part the Blazer and S10 forums are an incredible wealth of information, and everyone is really nice and polite to others.

But like all good things there are a few simple changes that the regulars, including myself can make to improve the boards.

3 things that I'd like done are

1. If you notice that someone is new here please take the time to welcome them to AF.
2. When they post in the wrong board try giving them the link to the correct one. This also includes the sales board for the people advertising on this board.
If you can't find the right board don't worry about it, someone else might be able to.
3. related to #2. If you can help anyone that has posted on the wrong board with their problem please give them the proper link, but still try your best to help them out.

I'm sure that everyone here has their own tips and sugestions as well. Please post them here.

Thanks
Stu, AKA OverBoardProject

Come Up With A Permanent Post To Let New Members Know What Imformation Needs Posted With Their Tread. Such As Year, engine Size, Problem, And Things They Have Already Done. This Would Save Time And Confusion.
The "official Joke Thread" You Came Up With Is Great And Entertaining.

Re: How can We help improve this board?

From what I have seen, there is not a whole lot that we can do to improve this forum that hasn't already been done. Now if we could just get Chevy to improve their product, but then we wouldn't need the forum, huh?

You all have a good weekend...

Later..

Umm, yeah. Browse around some of the other boards and see what kind of problems owners of those "quality" cars are having....

Back to reality, an improvement would be to merge this board with the GMC and Isuzu boards that cover the clone models. We're missing a lot more than you might imagine.

Re: How can We help improve this board?

It would be a great help if everyone would list their trucks year (1999, etc.), engine type (2.2L, 4.3L, even 'X' or 'W' code), drivetrain (2wd or 4wd), transmission type (5spd or Auto), and even the body type (regular, extended, or club cab). This way when we search the forum we know if the problem and solution relate to our specific model.

Good luck....... we can't even get them to read the sticky at the top of the forum that says "READ ME BEFORE POSTING!!!!!!!!!". We get questions everyday that have been answered dozens of times.

We get the same question asked on the very next thread at times.

It's really bad in the winter right after the first snow fall. Everyone seems to feel that they're the first person to ever have a 4wd problem
