ecu part numbrs

im buying an ecu off of ebay and i need to know how to check the numbers that are on the front of the ecu. any help would be great

well is there anybody who can tell me if this is the part number

there are two sets of numbers that follow:

module s/n TEN265881234
llllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll (bar code)
and
chrysler p/n p04874156 04874 156
llllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll

which is the part number, is that what p/n stands for? any help is great

if u have a 95 eclipse, buy a 95 ecu... 96+ the plug is different...
i'm not sure about the part number... but someone told me it was the last 3 numbers, but i bought one that had different numbers,(my car is eclipse, i bought one from a Talon) and it still works great...so i think if the plug fits it will prolly work for you...

ok, i now know where the part number is located!!, but i want to check to see if this part would fit my car, how do i do this using the pn, or where can i go to run these numbers.

WRONG! 95 ecu's fit in any 2g.

that helps

that helps in a sense, but im looking at a ecu that came from a neon(its for my n/t cousin) will it fit a 420A?< the p/n is different. it is P05289712 will it fit a 420a manny tranny n/t. or better yet how can i figure this out for myself, so i dont have to keep posting
