Taking out windows....
I just got a 98 Cavalier and haven't looked into this yet... How hard is it to pull the drivers side & passenger side windows out?
Thanks |

Re: Taking out windows....
What are you taking them out for? I am not too sure but I had my panel off when I was installing my door speakers on my 2000. I think you just have to take it off of a track but not sure.

I need to replace the drivers side and wasn't sure what I would be getting into. I did it on my 92 Explorer and figured it would be the same but just figured I would see if anyone has done it so I knew what I was doing before I go in. Thanks alot man!!!

Re: Taking out windows....
If the motors work, it's really not hard. Remove the interior panel (1/2 dozen screws, two in the "armrest", and plastic clips where screws aren't) and lower the window. There are two bolts holding the window's plastic clips to the sliding bracket. Unbolt them. You may be able to just lift the window out now. You may have to drill out the two rivits holding the plastic window clips on. They should be easy to drill (unlike the motor rivits).
