'96 s10 blazer electrical problems????

my dads 96 s dime blazer is having electric problems we just put a new battery and alternator in it and we are still having the same problems it just wont charge the battery i havent taken a look at it if n e thing is drawing off the battery or not i was just wondering if n e one has run into this problem if u wouldnt mind some help would be appreciated thank you in advance

Usually that problem means the alternator is shot, or the starter is shorting out causing the juice to drain quickly.
I hope that it's the alternator since the starters are such a pain to replace

o man we replaced the alternator already and its not it i think its the starter is it really a pain to replace??? its a 4.3 v6 o boy thank you ill ttyl

Get it tested first, and yes it's really a pain to replace.

I've only replaced them on 2.8L 4x4's though so I can't help you out much.
It will come out withot pulling the motor but you might have to really study the bottom to figure out the puzzle.
Or hope that someone can tell you the easiest way

I have a 92 blazer, v6, 4.3L, 4x4. To remove the starter on it, I had to remove the front drive shaft (if 4x4), then remove the brake line retainer off of the fly wheel cover, then remove the fly wheel cover, then remove the two wires connected to the starter, then remove the starter by taking out the two bolts. The starter is located underneath on the front passenger side of the transmission. Hopefully a 92 is close to the same as a 96.

the only 2 differences with my 2.8L is you don't have to remove a drive shaft, but you do have to remove a bolt on cross member

when you take the starter out it would be a good idea to replace the hot and ground wires from the battery just to make sure that is not the problem
