The floor and rug on the front passenger side of my '92 Suburban are very wet. Can't seem to locate the problem. Anyone out there who can help me with some ideas on where to look for a leak; other possibilities? Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

Re: '92 GMC Suburban (wet floor)
Sounds like a leaking heater core.

Re: '92 GMC Suburban (wet floor)
Check and see if your A/C drain is doing its job. It sounds like its backing up .

QUOTE]If you've ever seen the puddle of water under your car when your air conditioning is running, that tells you there is a drain for the condensation that occurs while the air conditioning is working. I've ben told by a few people that that might be the source of the problem if the drain is somehow not doing its job (plugged) so that the collecting water spills over somehow and enters the vehicle compartment and wets the floor rug. Check that out (you'll have to find the drain to do that) and if it is plugged, a gentle prodding with a narrow stick or coat hanger might unplug it. Just look for where the water drips to the ground from the drain (if any does) and it will tell you where the drain is. Haven't tried it on my vehicle yet as I am away on extended vacation and only get home infrequently. Good Luck! |
