Re: how to take off the bowtie in grill??

On the older trucks (88-98) you had to take out the grille and then there were 2 screws that held the bowtie in place.

Re: how to take off the bowtie in grill??

My '01 had 7 plastic clips on the radiator cover, remove the cover, 1-10mm bolt right of the hood latch, 4-phillips head screws at the corner of the lights and grills, and pull the clips out of the ends next to the fender. Now that the grille is off you pinch the plastic tabs in the center of the grille carefully and the bowtie will fall out..... Now put it together backwards. 1/2 hour at most when you have to stop and keep sampling the brew to keep cool.
