Gauges not working/No BUS 2001 Ram 5.2

My check engine light was on (code PO442/P0455). Well I replaced my gas cap and that didnt fix it. So I check under the hood to look at the hoses where the canister is. I tighten the cap where it says Evap 1lb pressure.....OK, I go to start the truck now and the gauges don't work and the mileage area says NO BUS...

Anybody know what the problem is??

sounds like your instrument cluster has lost the communication between it and the BCM or PCM. If it's intermittent, check the connection behind the cluster to see if there's a loose connection or crap behind it.

go search on ebay or a junkyard; you'll find one for a lot cheaper than $800; usually they'll run $150 to $200.

I live in Miami too. I took it to Dadeland Dodge. Yeah, everything is operational. No the gauges were not under warranty. One problem though... Before the guages went bad on me my check engine light was on(code P0455 & P0442). Well I told them that and they did say that is was a sensor which was under warranty. About 5 days later the check engine light came back on. I check the code and it's the same one. Now i have to take it back in.
