97 neon gas mileage?

i heard about 28 for city and about 35 for highway. does that sound right to any neon owners?
In the market for neons cause good looking car with good gas milage and its american. Any problems common with 97 neons?

I have a 99 and it gets about 30 mpg and I have a heavy foot part of the time I also drive 30 miles on the highway to and from work

Difinetely (only drivin it 1,000 miles though) its good on gas and a quick car. I love it. Some people got as much as 49mpg on the highway
