ever since i remember (like 3-4 years old) i have wanted a z32-tt anyyear, but now since they dont make them i want a 96' seeing as how it is the most historical and the only one that might hold its value, now im 17 going to be 18 soon and i have have three cars that i have payed for including a 93' dodge spirit (crap), 74' lincoln continental mark IV (pimped out crap), and my current car a 89' 240sx (now has a bad trannie) the answer to the dream car i could have is defenatly a 96' z32-tt, but i would settle for a supercharged 350z.

Re: What did you want when you were 16?

When I was 16, all I wanted was my friends 16th birthday gift. It was his Audi TT 1.8 with Quattro. I loved it. There was no girl we couldnt pick up. Alas, I had to settle for my birthday gift...Honda Civic LX. It was done up, but couldnt touch the TT.

I keep seeing youngster goin on about their cars... Audi TT's, C32 AMG's, Camaro's!!!!!!

Is this normal in the USA. In the Uk, its normally a claped out old Fiesta or a Austin Metro or something like that! The insurance on anything over a 1.4 litre in the UK for a driver under 19 is crippelingly expensive. Like £2000-£3000. How can you do it in the USA?

Re: What did you want when you were 16?

Living in Canada is the only experience I have. I know my personal car insurance is staggering. For my civic I paid $4500/year, the Camaro was $6000/year, and my shitty '01 Neon was $4000/year. Oddly enough, insurance on my streetbike is cheap. I have only liability and its $126/YEAR! I love that.
Basically for most people of my age to drive the car they want, insurance is very high. Its worth the money mind you.

When i was 16, i wanted a 2002 Camaro SS, which was brand new at the time. But i ended up with my stepdads 1990 Honda civic hatch. Oh well, I got the civic for $200 and the insurance is a lot less. But i have sworn to myself that i will own a 2002 Camaro SS, no matter what

I don't really appreciate it much but I'm driving my dream car now - I was just starting high school when the new 4th generation F-Body's debuted in '93 and just blew me away. I had always liked the older style IROC's and my buddy's dad had a GTA when we were growing up (I loved the 5.0 as well of course!). People used to laugh at me when I said I was getting a new Camaro - well, I was stupid for thinking I could convince my dad to buy one and let me drive it at 16 lol.

But hell, 10 years late is better than never!

Re: What did you want when you were 16?

I will prolly go with the s13 sr20det, cheaper, lighter, drift car. Just to play around and drift on intersections lol, well if i become good at it. My friends just died in a car crash, racing. Now I am more careful and won't do stupid things unless i am a pro. ( http://www.11alive.com/news/news_ar...x?storyid=52953 ) Back to topic well kind of funny when i was like 13 or something i thought f&f was the best and liked civics with spoilers, stickers and ugly bodykits, now i like 240s like in my sig with out stickers clean body kit and a nice or no wing.
