Question Inspection Milage counting dow

I bought certified '03 330cic 4 months ago with about 7,000 mile originally from BMW dealer in SoCal. The inspecation reads said 15,000 mile at beginning. After 4 months, the inspecation reads dropped to 11,500 miles. The car's milage is close to 10,000. It is going to meet each other in a few wees I assume. Asked a few friends, they said it because I do too much city drive (at 16.9 MPG!). Is that correct? I try to reach the car salesman to ask if my warrant covers the inspecation cost when inspecation milage drops down. I can't reach this guy for a week. The dealer kept saying he is on vacation. Anybody has experience on that?

Many thanks.

Re: Inspection Milage counting dow

The inspection milage just tells you when you should take your car in and get it serviced. It should be covered in your warenty since it is your first inspection.

If it's not covered . . . . the inspection cost is any where from $300.00-$500.00 not including parts.

Good Luck ! !
