You can rig a common aquarium 3-way fish tank pump valve (must have a screwable adjustment) for boost control duties on turbocharged cars. Don't know how reliable it is, as it is another homemade mod. I'd just stick to electronic boost controllers from big brands like HKS; they have manufacturer's warrantees and such, and you can monitor and set the dangerously higher boost pressures more accurately, rather than guessing and testing to find the right setting as with homemade or mechanical boost controllers.

GS - this hit the nail on the head. Its a mod that has to be done carefully so you dont overboost. However, I know of many people who have done it and none of them have damaged their cars because of it.

As you can see, I went with Greddy instead of HKS, but I prefer the big brands as well.
