Re: What do the cops drive where you live?

In the city they drive Crown Vics and I've seen a couple old Dodge Shadows that I think have been relegated to the "parking police".The county sheriffs also use Crown Vics and also use some Chevy pickups and SUVs. The suburban police departments tend to use Impalas and Crown Vics. Haven't seen any Chargers in use yet. My first impression was "Wow!" That's a fresh change from the ordinary police vehicles you see everyday.

Re: What do the cops drive where you live?

Sweet, my idea takes a spin.

And they've been modded up good. I've heard rumors the volvos and saabs got over 300hp under there.

Oh yeah, we've had Porsches too.

Common in my area- Crown Vics, Chargers with the 5.7 Hemi, V-8 Impalas
I've seen in my area- Explorers, Blazers, Camaros, Charger with the 6.1 Hemi, Hummer H1 (Dare program), and the badass vans.

Re: What do the cops drive where you live?

Basically slick top crown vics.
State Police also have the Camaro and Charger.
Our local police station has a badass Armored Personnel Carrier (APC) with a battering ram attached to it donated by West Point for whatever reason. They flaunt it, still painted in camo in the middle of the department parking lot. (not that there will ever be a need for it)

Holden Commodores:

Ute (Dog unit)

Sedan

There's also the paddy wagons which are (I think) Ford Transits.

Plus several older vehicles.

As far as I know, orange = regular police, yellow = highway patrol.
