I wouldnt trust anyone on here for advice...

most of the people are not qualified mechanics. I asked someone, "what is better for my 1989si, dry or wet NOS ZEX system." Someone replied, "dry". and no one corrected him. I`ll tell you right now, I would never recomend a dry system to anyone!!! Most, I`m not saying all, but most time when dry systems suck NOS into the intake manifold, cylinder 1 gets most of the NOS and 2, 3 and4 get very little, depending on your intake manifold. Well, I was running an OBX intake drag manifold, GSR throttle body and while running NOS, auctually melted the Zex plug electode(prong) right off and into the cylinder. At 200,000 miles hardly worth pulling the head to see the damage. But thanks for your advice, whoever you were. Maybe next time leave yout know-it-all comments to yourself and let a trained professional answer the question.
If anyone has a D16Y8 for sale, please contact me at [email protected]

its kinda like when you went on a trip with your parents as a kid..when you tell them that you gotta piss...

and they say..."should have thought of that before you left home"

advice is just that....its up to YOU to decide whether its good or bad advice. ultimately, its YOUR decision...b/c afterall its YOUR car.

- and why are you putting NOS on a motor with 200,000 miles on it?

Most of us are enthusiasts....and do this for fun and share what we know..I know my ass sure doesn't get paid to recommend what NOS system to put on your car dude, and I don't think it is fair for you to blame us for the shortcomings of something you had done.

Come on, that's like hitting a pothole and blaming the flat tire on the person that sold you the wheels...

I love it here and have had great responses to all my ?'s while I was doing my swap. Sure not everyone is an expert... that's why you have to research, research, research... You can't go by one persons opinion...see what the masses are saying...get different viewpoints...that's why this forum exists...

And with a wet fogger system most of the fuel will end up in cylinder 4. What size shot were you running and how far from the TB did you mount the fogger?

Honda's intake manifolds are good enough to use a fogger safely to maybe a 75 shot, after that the variance in distribution starts to be a problem.

For someone just wanting a small hit, like a 50 shot, I would recomend a dry shot. Our intake manifolds do a much better job distributing the N2O than they do distributing fuel. Besides, out intake systems were not designed to be carrying fuel, and backfire is much more likely.

Above 50-75 and you have to go with a direct port setup, but those can only be jetted down so far.

Its your own fault that you only asked at one site for advice. If you didn't understand what you were using completely why were you using it? Perhaps you shouldnt trust yourself to work on your own car?

Wouldnt trust anyone here huh? Please do us the favor, and dont come back then.

Just because you failed to research your project, through more than one source, doesnt mean alot of use dont know what we are talking about. But blaming us for your fault, gets you knowwhere.

I know myself, I dont read every topic that comes through here. I just read the ones I want.

Re: I wouldnt trust anyone on here for advice...

you ask for an advice and went with the advice. why didnt you research further on what advice was given then? the system might have even been put wrong which screwed up your engine.
