I know everyone says it dont work. But why would these shows say it does?
ok, im blabbin bout that gay tornado intake thing. i just got done watching the infomercial. And what I dont get is, if it DOESNT work. Then why did Hot Rod magizine test it, and say it works? As well as Shadetree mechanic. They said it worked as well. I dont get this, I aint gonna buy it, its pointless. But why would these 2 respected companies say a cheezy product works if it dont?

Re: I know everyone says it dont work. But why would these shows say it does?
Because if you noticed, The Tornado company ADVERTISES with both of those places... they arent going to say its crap, because then they loose them advertising with them. It doesnt work, never has and never will...

Besides, I'm sure the effect is more noticable on a much larger engine. Hence Hot Rod magazine.

it doesnt work... unless causing a restriction within the intake is a good thing.... |

you putit in your intake pipe, and it acts like a "turbine engine" pushing air into your throttle body. but it's just a piece of tin you shove in there.

Waste of money. I've seen dyno sheets with it being tested on a B16A.
Four runs where made - standard air intake, pod style filter, tornado, no air intake. The engine lost power on the tornado and on no air intake - acutally lost power. Standard air intake - no change. 4hp gain from a pod style filter. So, there you have it. The tornado not only is pointless to Honda engines... it even causes decreases in power across the board.

I can't believe that they are still making those...I thoguth that they would have gone out of BZ a while back...
it's supposed to sit in the intake pipe and when air comes into the intake it's supposed to spin and push more air faster a cooler into the throttle body causeing more HP... From the info given before myself it's know that this process doesn't happen thus hurting your perfomance andnot increasing it at all...:alien:
