Timing check

I am trying to check/set the timing on my 1994 S-10. The engine is a 4.3 Vortec (CPFI). I am having trouble locating the "set timing connector" so I can disconnect it and check the timing.

Thanks for any help anyone can provide.

I had the same problem with mine. You mean the tan and black timing advance wire. On the passengers side, under the dash, there is a black cover panel, remove it. With it removed if you loook up under the dash you will see the ecm. The wiring for the ecm comes down and out to the engine compartment. The tan and black wire runs along with the ecm wiring but on the out side of this harness. The connector is there on the inside. It might be covered by the carpet, so make sure to check.
