It has be done already but it's quite a lot of work.

Yes it can be done. Unstable-hybrids charges 10k+ for the labor for installing this motor. Then add the price of the motor which can be as low as 5500 for the RB26DETT from the R32 GTR or up to 8500 i think it is, and this is from the R34 GTR. so your looking at around 20k for this swap. IMO, not worth it.

Or you could always look at it in a different way. Like HKS has an RB26DETT powered 180SX that ran a 7.168 @ 192 at englishtown

Whoa! That bad boy will take out a domestic like nothing. A stock RB26dett in a 240sx runs in the 11's. It's no surprise to find out it almost ran in the 6's

actually when i teseted my car at the track i ran mid 12s low 13 because i was having traction problems with the MT slicks on so i have to do more tuning but yeah once i get everything done my rb26 s14 will kill almost anything its possible to put into a s13 but a lot of cutting has to be done also unstable charges way to much for everything their prices are way to inflated i bought a 1999 r34 vspecII front clip with all the parts to do a rwd conversion for 6k not including shipping and then to do the work i didnt pay anything because me any my boys did it with a little help from a euro and australian r34 manual and wiring diagram from nismo AU

yeah it was i really need help at first but theres virtually now info on the swap over here in the us i had to ask some of my cousins for help and they had to ask there friends in au to get wiring digrams and all that crap so it took me at least 3 months to do everything

The 240 sx is already rear wheel drive. maybe I just read your post wrong or something. or are you talking about making the rb26 just rear wheel drive instead of all wheel drive?

yeah in order to get the RB26dett to work properly in a 240sx you need to get an rb25 tranny
