family guy seems like a rip off of the simpsons, but it's still really funny. But the simpsons are just legendary, you gotta choose them over some show that's only been in the game for awhile

they both have dumb dads, smarter wives, dumb sons (bart is way better), a daughter that doesn't fit in with the family, and they both have babies

Same formula

I voted for the Simpsons.

However, I would venture that Futurama is better than both. C'mon, it has an alcoholic robot!!!

futurama is good too, but i still consider the simpsons a level above cause they've been around for sooo long. They like have a place in history

1. Simpsons
2. Futurama/Family guy
3. there is no 3rd choice

I think it's sorta like the Simpsons is historically funny, and you keep watching because you know they can be funny, but as far as the new episodes go, Futurama and Family Guy have them beat for ideas and new jokes.

So much in the Simpsons is charcter-based humor that's built upon the characters' reputations. You know Homer's going to do something dumb; you know Bart's going to do something obnoxious; you know Ralph's going to say something rediculous; etc... You already know exactly what to expect in each episode as soon as you see any given character.

The Simpsons isn't as clever as it used to be.

I had to vote Simpsons. I've seen about 5 minutes of Family Guy and found it rather ridiculous....

Maggie's silence is far more endearing than some devil child's smart @ss remarks... Those I can get from watching "Problem Child"!!

Since I have never watched The Family Guy, I voted for The Simpsons.

Simpsons for me too. The best part of the simpsons is it keeps you laughing hours after you see the show. And who can forget the clasic lines it has brought to the world.

1) Simpson's -- it's just classic and quite funny the way they poke fun at society and the norm.
2) Futurama -- I get to watch it so rarely, but the lines are so great in it. My current fav: "I've never seen a supernova explosion, but if it's anything like my Chevy Nova this is going to one great show!"
3) Family Guy -- good show, funny, but again, I don't get to see it much.
