One of my favourite cars of all time, I have the Gulf #24/25 version of the kit. Haven't got the nerve to build it yet, while the body is okay, all the other parts will need a lot of finishing work to remove mold lines and flash.

Yeah, once you really look closely or begin building you will quickly see that there is much clean up to be done...

Re: it came today

Conclusions:
*lot of work to do, flash removing, sanding, test fitting...
*connection between chassis and body is good.
*vacuform acetate windows: only one set! keep your nerves quiet!
*accuracy about 90% (my opinion): overall shape is good, details too, but I'm suspicious about the lateral windows shape, and the front... But you can add me to the Rivet Counter Club!
*price was really worth it due to the overall quality, accuracy and... disponibility! A little less that twice the price of an Enzo for a car that's far better ( my taste!)... and so rarely seen!

Agree with you, SchuberT!!!!

Re: it came today

Very beautiful! I would have a hard time spending so much money on a kit to make it into a road car. But, as someone who has loved the McLaren for years... that's not a bad idea. I can't wait to see you get this started. There is just something magical about this car. Are you making this a street car or doing the racer? Making a streeter would be a lot of modification... the rear deck being the most finicky bit of it all.

Re: it came today

Rear hatch doesn't fit well at all! I forgot to mention it, you're right. All the window frame would need to be cut and redone a little larger to fit the body better...
...Sure I'll never try to make a longtail version from this kit: there's too much differences! Better save money and try to get the Studio27 kit of this version... or wait for Profil24 to realease one (I know they've worked on it).
