go to www.lavasoft.com and download Ad-aware,a freeware program that finds all the spyware that unscrupulous websites install into your hard drive. That should fix it.

i think its basically the same principle as an instant message. so the only way to get rid of it is to block incoming messages from people who arent on your contact list, or close msn while your playing games.

No no, I know what you mean. It's not in anyway related to MSN Messenger. It's a program built into windows intended to allow tech support guys to send you messages even if you don't have a messaging system. They send the message directly to your IP address, and it pops up in Windows. However, unfortunately, the spammers discovered it and have abused it, Ad-aware won't do anything about it since it's not spyware.

However, you can stop it. I had the problem like crazy, but try this program: http://www.intermute.com/bin/ms/msg.exe
It's called MessageSubtract, just a little 200kb program that will disable the Windows messaging function. You can re-enable it at any time if you want.

This is assuming you're talking about these.....

Nope, once it disables the messaging function, it should stay disabled and you can close the program. If you start getting the popups again, just re-open the program and minimize it
