Mesh solutions

Asked about many times, here's your answer;

Work produce a range of metal wire mesh. The great thing about it is that it's available in black and plated finishes making it ideal for model cars. Several grades are available from 20 - 200, the later being very fine indeed. Grades 40, 50 or 60 are best for 1/24 cars IMO, 60 is the same as what you will find in some Tamiya kits. They're almost twice the size of the Tamiya stuff and being metal the wire is finer, it doesn't fray either which is very annoying with Tamiya's and it can also be shaped if that's called for too.

Available from HLJ and Hobby Search. HLJ carries the full range.

Re: Mesh solutions

I've just bought some of this and am about to use it on my Escort. Looks to be great stuff. The black mesh is pretty flat but the plated net has a real weave to it, so is probably best suited for larger scales. I agree 60 and 80 look to be the best for 1/24th.
