Talking Sealed sub box complete!

So we finished building my custom sub box and man is it looking good. Yesterday we cut all the panels and stuff, and I was gonna post some pictures but Photo Island was being a bitch so I tried ofoto today and that thing is tight. Direct links to all the pictures, none of this “link to auction” bullshit like photoisland had, man this thing is tight.

Note that I am typing this post again in MS Word cause the first time I tried to put it up the server was being bitchy on me.

Front Panel

Top / Bottom Panel

Side Panel

And then today we finished putting it all together

Front View

Inside view of speaker connector

Outside view of speaker connector

Anyway, this thing is gonna be mad tight yo, once the silicon dries which will take 24 hours to do. Tommorow I will install this into my car, I cant wait

aight, I got it all installed, and lets just say, my mom came out of the house twice to tell me to turn it down because I was rattling the windows. Photoisland is still being gay though, I will try to post pics that work of everything tommorow. For now, follow 88CiViC_DX's instructions

Dude, I turned it up today and lets just say my mom came out twice cause I was rattling the windows of my house.

Here are some pics of it now in the car. These are photoisland so nobody should have any viewing problems

Wow... I'd be a little concerened with that cap rolling around in there and nothing covering the terminals... I would hate to grab that bitch when it's got a charge on it! Anyways, once again, good job Melt.

The cap is bolted down with a mount near the rear of it, so it does not roll around.

I just wanted to see if I could build a good box and my dad had a shitload of this wood left over from the siding of the workshop. Its canadian wood so it should be pretty decent.

As far as carpeting the box, I dunno yet but probably

hey melt,

carpet that baby up, that kind of wood is strong until it gets wet, it swells up like mother & separates. just letting u know from experience. You can get carpet at the flea market, they have speaker box stuff for like $10 a yd.

Actually... I just thought of a cool idea... You could get it sprayed with bed-liner like they use on pickup trucks... That could be pretty easy, probably get it done fairly cheap. I dunno... just a thought.
