Re: At Sixes and Sevens: Super 7 Group Build

Thanks gents.

You could be right on the indicator.

It doesn't look so bad on the kit maybe but I shall give your suggetions consideration.

Thanks Andy!

Re: At Sixes and Sevens: Super 7 Group Build

Hi Steve,

looks great, you made many steps forward.

I agree with voyager, these indicator look a little bit long, maybe the silver part under the orange "glas" is too thick.

Engine looks fine with the washing and trumpets.

The backside of the cast wheels looks somehow toy-like, will you dremel away the "cross" ?

It depends on whether I finally end up using these wheels and how they look in place. The brake rotors may cover up most of it on the front at least - we'll see but I shall bear your suggestion in mind.

Right now I am finishing up my biggest "headache" - the new hub caps ;-)

This is really a great looking project. I don't know which I like better, the work you do or the clear and precise way you show and explain everything.

Re: At Sixes and Sevens: Super 7 Group Build

I'm browsing through all te group builds and realize I have missed some of the updates here. The carbs really blew my mind. amazing.
And when I think about how freakin' small that battery is, I can't believe you put on cable shoes and decaled the coil..

Re: At Sixes and Sevens: Super 7 Group Build

test run wheel. Version 2.0 on the way.... wheel weights made with flattened solder.

Fixed the battery in place.

Added some wiring to the engine bay. Dial cables, accelerator coupling and cable etc etc (mostly a work of fiction on my part )

I have never put so much spaghetti in an engine before and I felt frustrated by the whole thing - mostly because I kept thinking about quadzero's amazingly detailed and clean wiring

Thanks for looking

Hi Stevenski,

looking great. Nice wiring and hose clamps. Did you fix the rear indicators?
I'm about to finish mine this weekend...just a few details left.

Cheers
Sebastian

Re: At Sixes and Sevens: Super 7 Group Build

You make those wheels look terrific! Can't wait to see what version 2.0 looks like.

Spectacular work- I love to see you detail stuff. Some of your cables may be a tad large in diameter- but the view from above really looks spot on for a 7 engine bay.

I think those little wingie tabs on your battery connector hardware are supposed to get bent around the battery cable.

Re: At Sixes and Sevens: Super 7 Group Build

Wow, this engine bay is incredible. Usually the engine takes its place as the center stage show stopper but you have make the whole bay a class act. I love the linkage and all the little extra goodies you have added. The overhead view is sublime, very realistic. And thanks for the compliments, buddy.

Re: At Sixes and Sevens: Super 7 Group Build

This is sweet!
really really sweet!

Great rim-job, dude! =)

Also, those wires in the engine bay look really convincing to me, i plan on just rolling some wires on a ball and pry it in somewhere with clear glue, in a little corner.

Eitherway, looking forward, eh!

Me neither

I agree. I've accumulated a stash of wires big enough to stretch from here to there and back again but nearly all of them are just that "bit" too thick LOL

I think so too. Problem was bending the buggers Every time i tried to wrap 'em wound the wire, the CA glue broke. I gave up trying so as not to use a whole DM set on one battery

Re: At Sixes and Sevens: Super 7 Group Build

Little update.

Installed the radiator and fan with the brass blades I made at the beginning.

I'm just about finished in the engine bay now.

This will all get a heavy dose of Mr. MPWR oil wash and maybe some pastel chalks to make it look nice and dirty (and hide my mistakes )

Thanks for looking.

Re: At Sixes and Sevens: Super 7 Group Build

Put some plumbing on the brakes.

I am 125% sure that it is inaccurate but it was fun doing it

Getting close to finishing .....
