fuel preasure regulator

what are the symptoms of a bad fuel preasure regulator ???? my 95' aurora starts fine when cold but after reaching normal operating temperature it will crank too long before starting..my fuel pump and fuel filter are bran new..my other question is,where is the FPR located ??? i had the recall done (new fuel rail) is it still in the same location ??? how difficult to replace ?? thanks everyone

the fuel pressure regulator is under the plastic cover over the engine top...in the right top corner,it is round about an inch and a half in diamater it has a vacuum line attached to it,it has a horseshoe shaped clip around it holding it to its base...symptoms may be quite a few turns of the engine to start it,remove the vacuum line carefully and if you smell a strong scent of gasoline in that hose the regulator may be defective. also if you remove the regulator and there isnt a release of pressure and you dont get sprayed with gasoline then likely your regulator isnt holding pressure...news

thanks for the response,,i thought the location of the fuel preasure regulator changed with the new fuel rail ???
