Thumbs up Make perfect decale.

This is the most wanted technique I own that people doesn't really master. Beware, it's very advanced & very addicting.

Here the car I will begin to shop. This technique is quite advanced & it easily put the other shops to shame!

(Please compare this picture to the last one)

First, place the picture at the angle of the body. Use the polygon lasso to change the angle of the pic(like cutting through the center of the pic if you want)

Here the procedur to make it look real (Note: The main body saturation is in 0)

-First, duplicate the main body layer & play with Image->"level" & "Hue & Saturation" & do that to the others layer too.

-Second, use CTRL+"left click on the mouse" on the lady's pic. It should select around the lady.

-Third, Select->"select inverse" & Edit->"cut" on the duplicate body layer

-Fouth, duplicate the main body layer again

-Fifth, be on the lady layer & do Select->"color range"(put it about to 130) & start with the lightest color

-Sixth, Third, Select->"select inverse" & Edit->"cut" on the second duplicate body layer

-Seventh, do all the color that the pic has & repeat that lightest to the darkest color. Adjust the level & color so it can look more real.

-Eight, Don't forget to remove the lady layer...

Note, this method can be very frustrating in a competition... (Due to the fact that people doesn't notice the level of hardwork made only by decale--->Way more advanced than color matching part)

With this method, you can easily end up over 100 layers, but the car look way more real. With that, you can do nice racing cars.

Here a bigger view of the car with that decale.

Sorry for that. Tell me were you're stuck or what you don't understand. I will edit to make it better. Like that the tutorial will be more understandable.

The hue & Saturation is for changing the car color(Only that color with shadow). The level, in car shopping, help to accomplish specific color on the body(Used for dark to white or white to dark).

yes i know how to use the hue and saturation, but in the step, you just say play around with the hue and saturation, by playin around with it, what are we looking to accomplish? lack of color? color just being a little lighter than the main color of the body? or are we looking to try and get it to match up a little with the decal we are putting on it? that is what I am asking, what is the point of playing around with the hue and saturation.

and also, on your steps where you say go to Edit > Cut, that is not necessary. You can just hit delete. The cut feature is much like the copy feature, except it doesn't leave the original there. But with the way you are using it, you could just hit delete because you are not plannin on using it anymore. Either way still works, but hitting delete is a lot easier
