I've got a 97 3.3 starts good after about 10 minutes back firing and missing and stall No codes ? new cam sensor plugs and wires 1 year old. any ideas very much appreciated before I break down and spend more $$$

Can't say for sure why it won't throw a code - I can only assume that when the voltage drops it chokes the computer. I have seen them throw a code 41, but a lot of times it doesn't, and even when it does it gets misdiagnosed! Thanx for the follow up and letting us know it helps. Since I started working on these things I've come to the conclusion that they get a bad rap due to a lot of misdiagnosis causing parts to be needlessly changed. This is one of those types of things - right up there with "you need a new transmission"..... ![]() - |
