Good job I asked - I would have guessed the other way round!

Hey Stevenski,
Your R8 still looks great, despite the decals and everything else ![]() I would still put it altogether in my display case of Wonderful WIPs. |

Re: Audi R8 2000 - Le Mans Minatures
I think DNF is a bit harsh. Le Mans is about keepin it going all day and all night, and it seems like you did that. Some go farther than others, but if you kept at it you made the finish line.
Maybe next year you can try again for a win (but I'd suggest a comprehensive search for the simplest kit possible during the off season! ).Looking great, another fun build.

Nice built so far and very hilarious comments on your own project
Walk the dog and daughter out or face household mutiny Thats how it works yes.Keep it up enjoyed the read/pics. I personally still don't dare to touch my LMM Bentley kit, that one needs far more curring out of the box than yours. |

![]() Thanks All the other competitors have finished the race but my poor Audi is still pottering along on it’s final laps (I think that the guy with the chequered flag has gone to sleep! LOL) Since there is no rush now, I added some freehand cut pieces of CF and “wall papered” the cockpit a little bit. Will add some technical decals later. ![]() ![]() There used to be „Panasonic Audio” sponsor decals here but they went in the bin with the masking tape and I have replaced them with some spare Michelin decals. I also covered the tear in the German flag with some 10000000% inaccurate spares ![]() The rear lights have been detail painted with clear orange. I still need to tidy up the black trimming ![]() Test fit with the acetate glass piece painted red from the inside with Tamiya transparent color. I thought I had a better fit that that! ![]() Wheels have been detailed and just need a wash now. For some reason I am having trouble taking a good photo of them. ![]() This is how it is looking after the sanding and re-coating with clear. ![]() Wake up, Mr. Chequered Flag man!! I'm coming!!

Re: Audi R8 2000 - Le Mans Minatures
The kit looks like it has its flaws, but I´m quite sure, you´ll master that. To the finish line and then back to the 2CV. BTW, which inaccuracies do you mean concerning the german flag, don´t see any.

Looks like a proper racing car!
I bet the chequered flag men are waiting for it. |
