My antenna was vandalized and I'm replacing the antenna mast and the antenna wire. The Haynes repair manual says to remove the "right side inner fender splash shield" in order to to detach the ant. cable from the fender but I'm not sure which part the splash shield is. I have the old cable out but it looks like it's going to be a bear to feed the new cable through.
I've removed the windshield wipers and the cowl grill from the front of the car as well as the glove box but I still need to get the wire from where it mounts on top to where it attaches to the fender and then through the firewall. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. |

The stock antenna wire is a bitch to remove/install! I installed an after-market cb antenna in the stock location. I tried for a couple of hours to remove the stock antenna wire to install the the after-market wire in the stock location. I finally gave up and just ran the wire through a grommet on the driver's side. I removed all of the stuff you did, and it still appeared like I was going to have to strip the entire vehicle to get that damm wire out, and the new one through. The Haynes repair manual doesn't sound like it's to much help either.
