what if i put some sheet metal in between my new intake w/ k n cone and the fan will that cut down on the heat wash that the car would be getting

Anyone have any ideas of what I can use to make better clasps on the side of my filter box that the dealer broke? Also i'm probably going to put some weather stripping around all the holes I made to reduce the engin compartment air from being sucked in.. |
