aftermarket new 92-94 door handles review
I finally broke down and purchased a set of the aftermarket inside and outside door handles for the 92-94 Geo/Swift. These are the ones you can find on e-bay. These are new aftermarket parts. Used OEM parts are rather hard to find in good condition and go for just as much as the new ones.
![]() ![]() ![]() I have to say that these are very nice and look to be very high quality. They come with all the hardware to install the rod ends. When it warms up, I am going to install them and will let you know how they fit. The outside hadle also fits the 89-91 The cost was $14.99 US each plus shipping. |

Re: aftermarket new 92-94 door handles review
Yes! I bought myself a pair of the inside door handles (aftermarket new), and they work great! I had to drill the holes slightly different where they screw into the door itself, but they work excellent! MUCH cheaper than buying used original ones, and probably last longer!
Next time one of my outside handles breaks, I'm buying a set of aftermarket ones of those as well.

Re: aftermarket new 92-94 door handles review
I have a 91 Geo Metro and want to know if anyone has every tried to exchange the 91 door handles with the 92 door handles.
Yes, I know that the door panels are virtually identical and that the 91 has small rectangular handles and the 92 are different. Can I simply pull the door panels and lock/open rods off of a readily available 92-96 in my local junk yard and update the 91 geo with those parts...? Or won't that work. Thanks and please send response to... [email protected] Mr. Tripp Augusta, GA |
