White Rims for ITR

The white integra with the white rims, does the rims just come in white or can you just take rims and paint them white? Cause im thinking of painting my second ITR white.

sorry for the bad quality, it's night with bad lighting. All the chrome ones are the custom ones, the other are the Type R wheels.

It looks like the same wheel to me, but just painted. Sorry, I don't know what color of white they used.

You can CSC the chrome, and then paint them white.

castrol super clean. it works F***ing wonders.

The Syndicate: You have to csc the rims first? oops. I just sprayed over them w/ some bronze. it sticks on. It's been ok for about 3 months. and i left 'em outside for 1 1/2 too. hahaha

You can also use Fantastik (or any other ammonia based cleaner) for stripping chrome plating without hurting the plastic underneath. I usually put the rim into a "ziplock" bad, spray the Fantastik (do a web search, made by SCJohnson Wax...yup. Same guys who do Future!) in the bag, close the bag and in a few minutes, the chrome is gone!

The bronze probably worked because it's a metallic color, but if you're going to spray a flat color, remember to remove the chrome first. It gives off a strange look afterwards.

The lower bumper on my truck was chrome, and I sprayed over it with testors yellow. :-\

Chrome is a very smooth surface (which it why it reflects light so well). As a result paint has a very hard time sticking to it, so you should either strip it or go over the chrome with some fine grit sandpaper in order to give the paint something to "bite" into.
