Re: Ford GT-R?????????
like i said it may be fast as hell but looks like the diarhea i just flushed down the toilet....and its not anything a nissan cant take care of. end of story. i would prolly take one for free and sell it for a quick buck to buy a better ride. This is MY opinion, there is nothing in the world that absolutely everyone likes.

Re: Ford GT-R?????????
american automotive engineers still haven't realized that they should start building economic engines rather than "omg looka it is tah biggest ultra omg gt-r mustaahng engine"

Re: Ford GT-R?????????
I kinda like it, I like the GT-R better, well except for those rear tailights.
And sorry but, there is no substituting of displacement, I am not into small displacement, when we lived in Britain, they had cars with .9L engines, hell even in Kenya we never had engines that small. There are turbo supras and skylines putting out 500hp to the wheels, they got small block chevys putting the same N/A. With these big engines, there no limits to the power you can get, all I hate is that the base products that come from the factory are pieces of shit, but the things we do to our import engines to get an extra 10hp could get a small block an extra 80hp. The room to improve is there. But, everyone is entitled to their opinion.

Re: Ford GT-R?????????
I did, suprisingly I do agree with you, the engines just keep getting bigger like the muscle car era, back in the day, tech wasn't this advanced so to get more power, have bigger Blocks, but now, with all the Tech, they should quit and start producing high hp blocks with tech not just upping the displacement. The crate engines are monsters, but it kinda sucks that they have to use these 400cubic blocks to get 450hp. If F1 cars can have 750 hp out of a 3.5, then a 4.6 block should be putting out atleast 350hp from factory instead of 4.6L 296hp Stang, and 330hp 5.7L of a camaro.
I like cars with atleast a 3.0, this is the smallest I would go, but I think anything above 5.0 is too big for nothing unless you have a V10 or V12. I like vipers but 450hp from an 8.0 V10, that is pathetic, yet ferari can get 395hp out of 3.6L V8, this block will rev all day and then some, I redlined my T-ram (5500Rpm), the sound was cool as hell until I started smelling burnt oil and rubber, I did the same to my SHO and it still kept on putting out with no sign of fatigue. Most domestics have no powerful small engine, Ford had to pay Yamaha to build them a 300hp V6. Not that they couldn't, they just werent able to make it for the street, and cost would have been off the chart, hell even their street top Cobra engines weren't putting out 300hp back then. They should improve with tech and not just size. Depends on what you mean econimic, if to save the trees, use less fossil fuel, alternate fuels, good for you, I could care less aslong as the power is good, not concerned about the rest, sorry not much of an eco-guy, nough said.

thats exactly why i dont like Huge Displacement Engines my grandma could pull 80-150 Hp out of an N/A big block but to do the same with a 2-3L would take more than a trip to the local Big Blocks R Us

Re: Ford GT-R?????????
there was a guy who did some good head work on a small block and got an est 100hp+350hp= 450hp. An entire rebuild for my SHO, using high performance parts will yield me 290hp proven 310hp if I am lucky. but atleast even if I don't get the 450hp, I can still rev to 8000rpm, but would sure like to have 450hp N/A. can get that with a supercgarge kit.

Re: Ford GT-R?????????
there was an article of some guy who tried to enter the top fuel dragster with a 5.0 4cyl, but the officials refused. The motor put out like 2000hp, but the mods were too extreme, and no one else was willing to try that category. Pulling 2-3000hp from small and big blocks is eay but 4cyl, it was costly, and something about it not meeting specs. He is still trying to get it into some kind of class seeing that he spent all that cash building it.
