I sell aftermarket parts like that, including that brand so I see the real thing and pictures of the fullsize version every day! I couldn't see a difference. WOW! That really inspires me to get building again, it's been a long time since I've done anything. Thanks.

Very well put. I couldn't agree more (although I'll settle for 1/10th of their skill level )

Amazing work Scale-Master. I swear your work falls into the category "If I hadn't seen it for myself ....." Thanks for sharing your experience

People don't get discouraged by this guy. He just show that there is always room for improvement. I will never reach his craftmanship, but I'll never stop trying... Scale master, thanks for inspiring me (and i think i speak for the most people here)

And he seems to find enough time besides his marriage. That is a ring indicating that lifetime realtionship to a woman. That´s by far the most impressive thing of this thread....

You nailed it on the head wouter, I really hope no one really means it when they say I have discouraged them from building. Even as a joke it is wearing thin.

You got that right godfather. My wife is very important to me in so many ways. We've been together one week shy of fifteen awesome years today. She is the sweetest and most supportive wife, (hey, I am biased here).
She even "demanded" I put up showcases in our living room for my models a couple years ago.
She knew nothing of models when we met, now she builds occasionally, (her forte is painting bodies, an airbrush natural), and has quite the critical eye, (much to my dismay since she critiques my work before it's done). Not that she fully understands why I build what I do, but no matter what, she is positive and supportive of modeling... And she's cute too! - Mark

NOI only joking it's 1am here so i'm a bit out of it.
My GF is real easy going about my model making as well, great ain't it.

I was joking about your work making want to quit, actually it pushes my to make better stuff myself andf improve my skills.
You really make me want to make another 1:12 skyline and get it better than the last one.

Keep posting your work,
Thanks

Re: Blue Seven (Parts 2)

You are both lucky, Scale-Master and Hiroboy. My wife is not as easy going as I would've hoped about my modeling. In fact, last month she destroyed two of my 1:24 Porsches, and now I have to fix them.
The skills and quality of work both of you display here really make me try to build better models, It's inspiration, very positive.
Scale-Master, your model is going to be beyond mindblowing when it's finished, as the build you show here is.

Re: Blue Seven (Parts 2)

This is one of the builds that has got me wanting to build very badly but finding the time nowadays is the hard part. Aftrt some recent events, my wife is now very supportive of my building because she knows how much I enjoy it. I will probably never get close to building at the level demonstrated by Steve and Mark and a whole lot of others here and elsewhere in the model-world but I still enjoy it as much now as I ever have and I will always try to come up with something at least presentable to the rest of the world! (even though I "build for myself because nobody else matters" ) Keep up the awesomeness Mark!

Re: Blue Seven (Parts 2)

i went through the other thread and a few pics didn't work.

i was wondering if you posted a pic, of the real car your going off of for the scal version?

If not i hope its not too much of a hassle to throw one up. Or maybe i missed something.

Thanks, your one serious builder

I just checked the original thread, it seems to be working. It is a model, but it's real enough to me... Hope to get back to it soon now that the holiday rush is over... - Mark
