Finished: Italeri Porsche 993 turbo

Wow, I finally got something finished after a 6 month break

This is a '95 Porsche 911 (993) turbo built from Italeri kit (also available in Revell box). The kit was built mostly straight from the box, but the wheels and tires were replaced with a set from Tamiya Porsche 996 (thanks to sti wrx for them). The wheels were finished with Alclad gloss aluminum paint. The brakes are Brembos from a Fujimi wheel set. The brake discs are painted with Alclad chrome and they have been given a light blackwash. The paint is automotive spray sprayed straight from the can and finished with sprayed clear coats.

Even though the model is almost straight from the box it took some time to get all the parts aligned properly. The headlights could be better and could be replaced with items from Tamiya 993 like Kunta did with his wonderful 993 C4S model.

I know Italeri kits aren't the best but you turned this one into such a beautiful piece.

Imo, I would add the license plates and do a aluminium drybrush on the radiator grills. Just to add a last touch of realism. Just my 2 cents.
