Boosted CRX vs SRT-4

So while I was waiting for my friend to finish installing my exhaust on my mustang I decided to take out our CRX equipped with a b18, t3/t04 turbo, and a 50 shot. After driving around for a while looking for races I see the local "car club". I drive up to the parking lot and a get a few unwelcoming glares from the people standing by their cars. I ask the people there if to be racing tonight (theres a long strip of road where nobody goes where everybody races at on friday nights). A guy comes up to me and inform me that his friend wants to race me. He also informed me that it would be a waste of my time since his friend drives an SRT-4. I tell him that I am still interested in racing the guy. He goes over and tells his friend. They go around telling everybody that somebody from their club has "been challenged". So I'm there for a little while and we all finally agree to go out to the "quartermile". There are about 10 cars pulled off to each side of the road to watch. So I get in the right lane and the SRT-4 pulls off to the other side of me.

Before the race begins he gives his engine a pretty loud rev and gets the attention of everybody standing around. "Smoke his ass Chuck" some idiot yells out from the side. I decide to return his rev with a rev of my own as well as a whistle from my BOV, to wash this all down I give him a little sip of N20 from a purge valve localted in my front fenders. A guy gets in between us and asks us if we're ready. We both nod and the guy steps forward to give the signal. As the guy drops his hands we both take off.

To summarize the rest of the story:

Vroom pssshhhh 2nd
Vroom pssshhhh 3rd
Vroom pssshhhh 4th

After that I had him buy about 7 car lengths at the end of the quartermile.

that's what i'm saying... i'd at least expected him to yell "hey you can't use nitrous... thats' cheating!!"

pos slow ass stock neon wtf was he thinking to step up to a boosted b18c nitrous fed in a crx body beast.........you should have smoked him by at least 10 or 20 car lengths.......and then point and laugh at their whole car club while doing a massive burn out........lol

I respect srt's because they can be made damn fast but people who know little about cars in general can buy them and think they are king of the street and just act like total assholes this is what gives cars and owners a bad name for any brand/car

you beat a 13 second car by 7 car lengths? so whats the CRX running? 8s?

hahah you don't need to run 8's to beat a 13 second car by 7 cars. 8 second car will beat a 10 second by like 20 cars. i would say a mid to high 12 second car should be suffcient enough to beat a 14 flat to high 13 second car by 7 cars.

as far as the noob with his stock SRT-4 loosing and giving a bad name to other SRT-4 drivers, ehh, who cares.
the way I see it there is 1 fast CRX for like 1 billion slow ass crx's out there, at least EVERY SRT-4 is statistically fast. and there is always gonna be a faster car somewhere. even guys who drive 911's sit there and think "gee, I wish I had a Pagani Zonda" so big woop, who cares.
I'd smoke that CRX in my rocket powered porta-potie.

unless that guy in the srt is blind or deaf ( not seeing a intercooler, seeing fumes of nitrous purging, or hearing the blow off valve coming out of a 2000 lb car ) then hes just a dumb ass for thinkin he can win.

srts suck.......but guys who like to take their friends boosted crx and waste his expensive nitrous on beating a stock car......sucks even more.....you should have went back there and raced the slow ass neon with your mustang.....you sure would have shown him....but not in someone elses ride...lol

The CRX is technically mine. My name is on the title not his, we just built it together and it is kept at his house cuz I dont have a garage to keep it in. And as for me beating that econobox in my mustang it wouldnt be a problem... Srt-4s are undoubtedly fast cars, but my stang is somewhat modified and spraying a 100 shot....
