Exclamation need help with motor swap

ok we swapped a d16a6 from an 89 si into my 90 std. it starts up and runs but we get a code 14. there is a hose on the fire wall with no where to go. on the 90-91 intake manifold there is a place for it but on this intake mani there is not a place for it(its from the 89). the car runs but it misses, kinda badly. does n e one know what to do with it?? also would a bad tps sensor make it miss at all? i really need to get it on the road so any help would be GREATLY appreciated. thanks

if you were swapping an automatic engine into a manual car or vice versa, i've heard there are slightly different vacuum lines. If the hose you're referring to is a vacuum line, try "T-ing" it into another vacuum line and see if that fixed your problem.

yeah..that's what I was gonna say...or even throw a small screw into the end of the hose to plug it up and see what happens...its amazing how poorly a little loose vacuum hose can make your car run..

its behind the intake mani and a little to the left. there are 2 of them and only one has a place to hook into the 89 intake manifold. on the 90-91 there is a place for it to hook in to
