Questions about '04 LeSabre

Good morning,

We have a '97 LeSabre that we like a lot. My wife would like a newer '04 model. Since I have quite a bit of experience working on the '97, what are the shortcomings/problems found so far with an '04?

I'd appreciate comments oon this model, how it compares to earlier models, and any comments favorable or unfavorable.

Thanks,
Jack C.

Re: Questions about '04 LeSabre

My 03 has been great, there are some issues with lower intake gaskets and possible upper intakes, same as the 97.

Since you have a 97 you will like the changes, like the belt removal, the water pump removal
and the fuel pump removal, all of which I hope you don't have to do but will be easier because of the new design, good luck and many carefree miles.

Re: Questions about '04 LeSabre

If the 04 is as good as our 00 was, you will be really happy. Other than plugs and wires, all we replaced was the left front hub bearing. The car was traded with over 200k on it. We loved it and regret trading it for our Lucerne.
