bit of a tip for you guys with pics!

a quick and easy tip i have been using lately for installing headlight glass mainly but certainly not restricted too

use a tooth pick with a small "blob" of blu tac here in Australia, silly putty in USA
on the tip of it, soooo much easier to pick up the glass and just place it on the model, less messy aswell!

Then once in place flip the tooth pick around and you another tool to help reposition the part if need be

Hope it helps someone! helped me a LOT!!

Jason

Great suggestion, Countach. Actually, ye olde Blu-Tak and its relatives can be used to pick up all sorts of stuff. The nice thing is that it releases the part easily. It's a drag when you've applied glue to the surface and carefully placed the part in just the right position, and then the f#!$&% 'in stick-um won't let go.

We do have Blu-Tak in the U.S., and Michaels sells yellow poster tack that's cheaper and works well. I dunno about Silly Putty, though. I think it's completely different stuff.

I once tried modeling clay, but it left a greasy spot on the part.

Yeah, I use Scale Motor Sport picks, they are similar to this, with some tacky adhesive already on a stick, package of 10 I believe.
