loss of power, no speedomiter, d4 blink?

I have a 1999 civic lx, i degreased the engine and hosed it down. i forgot to leave it running, i went to turn it on and i noticed the d4 light blinking. It has verry little power and seems to be jerking when i engage it into gear, it was running perfect before i washed the engine. wht can this be?
