I am getting very frustrated with this

I have a 1997 Grand Cherokee limited. I cannot get the dome light to come on when I open the door or with the dash switch. I have replaced the bulb and then checked the bulb and it works. I then tried another one that I checked and it doesn't work. Both reading/map lights in the dome light work. I have a red, yellow, and black wire going into a plug. I have power to the red and yellow. I assume the black is ground. Both lights in the front doors work with the switch and when I open the door, but no dome light ! I have pulled the fuse marked CTSY LMP in the fuse panel in the kick panel. The lights in the doors did not go out, but the read/map lights did. Is there a separate fuse for the dome light???? What in *^#& am I missing??? Can someone please help me?
Thanks !

OK so you have power to the wires @ the dome light. Check the ground and the dome unit itself; I've seen dome lights have corrosion in them (mostly on really old cars) or have something like a wire connection broken inside.

Thanks for the help. I think I figured it out, there has to be a break in circuitry going to the dome light. I am looking for one from a junk yard now.
Thanks Again!

Sure thing...let us know if the "new" part doesn't fix it!

Re: I am getting very frustrated with this

Hi there, ok there 2 things you can do to fix this problems , #1 you can take the relay out and disable the key less system ,or #2 you can only disconnect the wire positive or negative that go to the horn and disable the horn and eliminate the noise and leave just working the door locks, good luck
