Town and Country Starting Problems

Have a 97 T&C 3.3L v6 that wont start. 3 days ago after running fine it would not start. I towed it home, checked a few things but could not find anything obvious. I tapped the bottom of the gas tank thinking this might shake something loose with the fuel pump(knowing this would only be a temp fix if it worked) and it started. Ran fine for 2 days and then did the same thing but this time tapping the fuel tank did not work. Any suggestions as to the problem or am I to assume the fuel pump has finely quit.
Thanks

Re: Town and Country Starting Problems

DO you have fuel pressure?

Do you have power to the pump?

If you have no pressure and you have power than you more than likely have a failed fuel pump.

Re: Town and Country Starting Problems

Thanks for the info. I did some further checking and determined it probably was the fuel pump. I dropped the tank and pulled the pump and applied 12v to it and it does not work. So I will replace the pump and hope that takes care of it.
