99 Olds Alero V6 3400 motor

I have a 1999 Olds Alero V6 3400 motor and I have a cyclinder #1 misfire the car has a very slow take off but drives normal in higher speed could this be a clogged cat converter.

A cylinder misfire can be from numerous things.

Bad spark plug or an improperly gapped one, a damaged plug wire, an ignition system fault, a weak coil or moisture penetration to any of the above.

If the Cat converter was faulty, you would have a CEL (Check Engine Light) on with a code waiting to be read to narrow down the area of fault. The code would show as (example:P0123)
