1994 pontiac grand am 3.1 engin.need to see order push rods go

Ok. here is the formula: look at your lower intake manifold, look where injectors go where you see injectors there you put intake push rods all others are exhaust push rods.

just look at the injector position inside of the LIM the way you would install your LIM and you will not make mistake. Yes both sides are same.

check that throttle plate cable is not stuck or that something is not pulling on it, also try relearning IAC by pulling e-brake shifting into D and let it idle until cooling fan comes on. Don't do this if you have weak e-brake.

tried ebrake not strong still idles 2500

look at the throttle boy see if it is open or closed, should be closed at idle. Did you check if something is pulling on throttle plate cable?

ckd throttle boy it's closed would the catylic converty cause this problem

Check that your iac is not disconnected (idle air control)

finally found problem.broken vacum line behind engin. cut off and reatached idle came right down were it should be. want to thank you for all your advice.If it was'nt for you car would not be fixed. again thank you
