4 wd
I have a 97 f250, when I engage the 4 wd I hear it engage by the glove box, the light comes on but there is no four wheel drive. There is no noise in the transfer case when I manualy turn the drive shaft. Is it the vacum actuato, or does anyone have a clue.

is that a old body or the light duty 250 i have seen the vacume servo on the frontend get frozen by rust

its the lt duty newer body style, the actuator boot is seperated from the housing and is all corodiated, had problems pushing the pin in by hand.

I think you found your trouble lube it up end a little grease and go on your way
