XBox vs. PS2 vs. GameCube

i have heard that gamecube sucks REAL bad. I have a friend that has an Xbox and he threw it out the window (literally) because the friggan thing kept freezing. ANd he bought another one and it did the same thing. I have a PS2 and i like it 10 times better than all the other ones

Xbox is much to big compared to other systems. The controler is bigger and harder to handle. The controls of the Xbox from one game to another don't vary much. The games are targeted towards the older audience, making it a more wanted machine. The graphics have the capibilty to be the best of all three systems, but it isn't worked on in the better games like Halo and Morrowind. And Xbox can play DVDs, but it doesn't match up to the quality of a real DVD player (believe me, I know)
Sony is an old favorite, making it to the top with only three systems. They used to have (key words: USeD TO) Square making games for them, but now even Square has teamed up with Nintendo, and the tables are starting to turn (not really). PS2 is a lot more convenient in that it is the second smallest of the three systems. The loading doesn't take much time and the RPGs are great. The graphics are great except for a few games and it's got FF10 (need I say more?).
Gamecube has a smaller selection of games, but the extra time is put into the graphics and fun factor. The controls are very easy to get used to and the controller is light and small. The console itself has the second best hardware. Each game disk can hold four times more than a regular CD. The graphics are great, and this console doesn't freeze. Many new gamers (because old gamers couldn't make this stupid mistake) judge the GC too quickly based upon its color, its creator, and its size, saying it is a "kiddy" machine. That is completely irrational. GC games are created for all ages. They can always put you in a good mood on a rainy day. I for one think that gamers don't like the GC because either 1) they haven't played it yet or 2) they suck at video games. Most Nintendo games are action games. If you stink at video games, you probably wouldn't like Nintendo because it's too hard for you!!! Ha! Ha! Most of the games have a certain originality and style. Nintendo hasn't lost their touch. No, they haven't gone over the roof making Mario clean up an island. All of the games (not sport games) are very fun and challenging once you play them.
It is up to you which system you like, but please don't insult the other consoles or companies OR THE FANS.
PS I think XBOX and PS2 should all go to H3ll but I don't care if other people like them. I just HATE it when people insult me for my opinion.

I have all three systems and i like the Gamecube best. There is more games for it plus the graphics are better because they add more pixles.

Next would be the PS2 and dead last i mean dead dead dead last is the xbox. IT SUCKS!!!!! It only has Five or Six really good games.

Definitely PS2 would come in first. probly becuz i'm so use to the playstations format and the game tittles released on ps. next would be game cube. incredible graphics for that lil thing. last sad to say is xbox. i had such high hopes for this system and it's been one big dissapointmnet. a great machine but only a couple of the games were able to keep my attention.

PS2 - Far more 3rd Party Support which means better games
3rd Party online server support
Better RPG's IMO
Maybe not the best hardware but its the gameplay that matters right?

Backwards compatibility is what drew me to it. Think of what PS3 will be like... Updated hardware, and a vast selection of games. Can't beat it.

I hate those damn Xbox controllers and Halo just gets boring when you have no other good games to play. Splinter Cell is a thumbs up though.

all of you are F'd in the head, XBOX is the best, mine has frozen once, the PS2 I used to have did it more than that. yes PS2 has more good games out, but think about it, of course it will, it has been out like a year longer. but Xbox has plenty of good games out. and if you look at thje specs, it is the BEST out of all of them.

I am not saying PS2 is bad, I like it too, but Xbox is better, and as far as gamecube, never played it but only know 3 people with it and they dont play it and they think it sucks a$$.

and the big controller is hard to use I think, but the controller s is my favorite controller ive ever had in my hand.

i have never been f'ed in the head, and don't give a damn about your "specs". Graphics are nothing without good gameplay. XBOX is good for a stair.. probably too large for children to walk up though.

XBOX IS THE SHIT!!!!! it has good games, good graphics, and it is GOOD! also PS2 is good, didnt say it wasnt but admit it XBOX RULES!

Xbox is better as a system. it has a built in hard drive(no memory cards) 4 controller jacks, you can copy music cd's to the HD and listen to them while playing certain games. the dvd player is much quieter than ps2 and my ps2 always freezes with DVD's. Xbox is only lacking cuz they don't have any extra awesome games. they have a lot of consistently good games like hitman, and blood omen 2, and splinter cell and Halo but not enough good games that really stand out. when Halo 2 comes out oct 23rd it'll be hot again. if you have beaten halo on legendary than i don't see how you can say it's boring
Sony is better game wise(no contest) but they suck for letting nintendo outbid them for the rights to Capcom's Resident Evil franchise, gran turismo is the the first game i bought for te system and i still play it often, GTA:VC, metal gear solid, Tenchu are all really good games ad sony has a lot of others that are just as good. Sony is smart and lucky to have gotten the licenses for them.

Gamecube is great if you're 12 years old and like playing games where you capture ghosts with a vacuum cleaner or blast away dirt with a pressure washer. if it were't for metroid Prime and Resident Evil 0 GC'd be done. any other games worth getting on GC can be gotten for Xbox or PS 2. rent one from blockbuster for a week, rent the 2 games i mentioned, beat them and that's all the gc you need. and maybe starfox if that's your thing
