My 1996 Jimmy 110,000 miles started missing the other day after the engine reached operating temperature. As long as the engine is cold it ran fine. I got the bright idea of cleaning the throttle body with throttle body cleaner. I couldn't get it to stay running long enough with the air cleaner removed so i sprayed it while it was not running. I got it to start but now it runs like a plug is not hitting. I removed the #3 plug wire by the cap and it did not make a difference, so I assumed it could be the problem. I have two questions. One, could I have done any major damage to the engine by running it with the fluid from the cleaner down in the engine or could the plug just be fouled? Two, how in the world does one get the #3 plug out? The designer of this engine should be shot!!!!!! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: 96 Jimmy 4x4 engine misses
Throttle body cleaner probably fouled out #3 plug. Here is a link that tells how to do it: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=503231
