87 Jimmy engine problems

I've got a 87 Jimmy 4x4 and she's been running pretty good for the past 5 years I've had her. I starter her up this winter and now she's having driving problems.

It takes about 4-5 time to start her up for the first time, every time, she idles fine, but once I put it in drive and start to open the throttle her stalls out. If I keep the truck under 1500 rpms it will continue to run but once I open it up at half throttle to WOT it'll stall out. If I continue to do this 10-15 times she'll drive off fine at WOT.

I tried adjusting timing a little but that didn't seem to work. maybe it's a bad o2 sensor and the truck only works when it's warmed up? I don't know.

Please help

Thanks,
Joe

Re: 87 Jimmy engine problems

Low fuel pressure, one dead injector, clogged fuel filter, bad coolant temp sensor are all possibilities.
