1967 Monaco 383

I purchased a monaco with a rebuilt 383 with 40k on it yesterday, the fuel line had a break in it, so i replaced the rubber part that broke, and now when it idles, gas pours down the engine, my guess would be from the carb? does the carb need to be rebuilt?

thanks

Sounds like it to me. Floats get "heavy" and fuel drips.
