1993 4.0 4x4 won't engage

I have a 1993 4x4 with the 4.0 in it and the 4x4 and low light near the push bottons would come on and off and go dim along with the light that comes on when it is engaged. Since it did this I have nothing it won't engage and the lights won't come on. I checked the fuses and they look good. Any help?? Thanks in advanced

maybe the connection behind the smitch is loose. Check to see if there is power at the connection on the back of the switch
